Sessional Youth Support Workers Needed By Youth Action Wiltshire The ‘Youth Arm’ Of Community First Registered Charity No: 288117

These flexible roles working with a range of young people across Wiltshire are key to our successful delivery of positive activities programmes.

The Sessional Youth Support Workers role includes engaging, motivating and supporting young people to succeed. The roles are crucial in providing positive, fun experiences which are designed to increase self-esteem, confidence and skills. You must be over 18, be able to travel to activity locations countywide and have the ability to connect with young people.

We are specifically looking for Sessional Youth Support Workers to support our;

  • Splash positive activities programme, which is for young people aged 9-16 years who are facing challenges in their lives. Varied activity sessions run in all school holiday periods.

  • Youth Clubs Support programme which works with local groups to facilitate diverse activities for local young people term time in the evenings.

  • Wiltshire Young Carers Service respite sessions which provide positive activities for young carers aged 6-18 years at weekends and during school holidays.

A lovely quote from England Rugby full back Mike Brown:mike brown 2 small

"Splash is a brilliant organisation working with young people in Wiltshire who are facing challenges in their lives. I think it’s fantastic that Splash is again running a rugby project at my old club Salisbury RFC this Summer. Splash works to build young people’s self-confidence, social and team work skills as well as helping them to make positive choices about their lives – such similar values to those we aspire to in rugby."

Look out for our Summer rugby project at Salisbury on 17/18 Aug
